Latest NewsCTA Meetingfor Staff Involved withIndicator 13On Monday, February 8th, at 1:45 pm in the FFMS Cafeteria, the CTA will be hosting a meeting for any member involved in the implementation of Indicator 13. In particular we are looking for Special Education teachers, Psychologists, and Counselors who are being required to change their work to incorporate Indicator 13.Building Rep TrainingOn Thursday, February 11th, the CTA will be conducting training for any interested member. The training will provide basic information about what a building rep does. The training is open to reps and non-reps. Please RSVP to Greg Montague if you would like to attend.
25/55 RetirementWe are still waiting on the finalization of the 25/55 Retirement legislation. The Bill is currently in the Senate and it should reach the Assembly this week. 2009-2010 CTA Executive Council Meeting Dates: September 15 October 20 November 17 December 15 January 19 February 9 March 16 April 13 May 11 June 8 Meetings begin promptly at 4:00 pm in the South High School library. CTA Executive Council meetings are open to our membership. Any member is welcome to attend but only building reps are allowed to vote. Building reps - It is important that you attend the meetings or send an alternate in your place. This is the only way your building has any representation in any discussions or decisions made.
